Jared S. Krause, PE

Jared Krause, UrbanNY’s Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, brings his prior experience as a structural engineer, project manager, and practice leader of special inspection services to every client, agency, and project served. As COO, Jared oversees the firm’s day-to-day operations, implements efficient and effective processes, and executes the company’s strategic goals.

Jared led UrbanNY’s program and construction management services for the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey’s reconstruction of LaGuardia Airport. In that role, Jared led a large, diverse team of engineers and quality control inspectors. The project’s success has been well publicized, as the airport is now recognized as one of the best in the world. Jared is now leading a similar team at JFK Airport. Jared has dedicated himself to delivering the country’s most significant, most challenging projects.

Prior to Jared’s current role as COO, Jared was instrumental in developing the firm’s Special Inspection Practice. UrbanNY was one of the first firms in New York City to receive the Special Inspection Agency (SIA) registration. Since receiving the registration, UrbanNY has provided special inspection services to public agencies, building owners, and developers throughout the city.

Jared is a licensed Professional Engineer in four states, a Certified Welding Inspector, and a graduate of Rowan University – where he earned a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering and a master’s degree in engineering management.
